Many of us have heard that you shouldn’t rely solely on the scale to assess your weight loss progress. But if you’re anything like me or my clients, that can be REALLY hard to do. It’s a challenge to not value that number when it seems as though that’s ALL this world uses when evaluating successful weight loss.
We hear that muscle ways more than fat. We hear that we’re supposed to use other forms of measurement such as measurements, progress pictures, body fat assessment tools, etc.
But it’s not enough to just TELL you that these other forms of measurement are more accurate. But I want you to understand exactly why the number on the scale holds the least value of all so you can finally have some clarity!
