I cringe every time I hear about how a health “professional” said to a client, “There’s no way you could be eating in a caloric deficit and NOT lose weight” (essentially implying that they are either poorly tracking their caloric intake or simply flat-out lying).

The reality is…

• Unresolved emotional trauma

• Enviromental toxins

• Parasites

• Mold

• Toxic heavy metals

• Endocrine disrupters like BPA

• Hormonal Imbalances (stemming from or being exacerbated by these other root causes)

ALL of these and so many more issues play a MAJOR role in weight gain and weight loss resistance.

It’s actually quite a common occurrence for a client to initially arrive at our virtual clinic, filled with frustration over explainable weight gain that has accumulated over the course of a few months or a few years. And 99% of the time, they’ve had at least one occurrence with a previous practitioner or coach who focused on the nutrition and fitness pillars of health and weight loss, but only lightly touched on or completely skipped over the deeper root causes at hand.

When we start to explain how these toxins and pathogens are playing a role in their struggle with their weight, it’s either a light bulb moment (because they’re never heard of such a thing before) or an “I knew it” moment (because they had a hunch that there was more to the story but no “professional” would believe them)!

If you are frustrated with your body composition, whether you’re struggling to breakthrough a weight loss plateau, struggle to lose any weight at all, or you keep gaining unwanted weight unexplainably, you very likely have deeper ROOT CAUSES that have either not been addressed at all or were not addressed properly if they were indeed addressed in the past to some degree. Here are just a few examples of how these toxins and pathogens can play a role:

Environmental toxins can alter lipid (fat) metabolism and promote the growth of fat cells. Early-life exposure can play a major role in predisposing animals to insulin resistance, hormone disruptions, and obesity. Ever hear of a category of toxins called Obesogens? This is EXACTLY how they got their name!

Organic pollutants have been tied to mitochondrial dysfunction and metabolic syndrome. If your mitochondria within the cells of your muscles, brain, liver, and other organs don’t work well, YOU don’t work well. If your body can’t keep up with energy demands because the mitochondria are impaired, it will often downregulate certain processes within the body to accommodate. This includes the downregulation of your metabolism.

Parasites are pathogens that can not only harbor and release toxins in the body that contribute to the issues already listed above. But they can also greatly influence your neurotransmitter levels which can increase cravings and affect your mood and motivation (which clearly has a downstream affect on your food choices, desire to exercise, etc). They impair the function of your various drainage pathways such as your liver which affects your ability to detox, your gut health status, hormonal balance, and more. The list of effects from these pesky critters is endless. And as my friend Dr. Todd Watts says, “If you have a pulse, you have parasites.”

Yes, caloric intake and energy expenditure absolutely play a primary role in body composition. Those variables should still be acknowledged and accounted for. But they are NOT the sole factors. When our culture and much of the fitness industry endlessly preach this message of “calories in vs calories out”, while you’re sitting there beyond frustrated because your caloric deficit is making ZERO difference in your results, it makes you wonder…

“WHAT THE HECK AM I DOING WRONG?!?!”

My friend, your body isn’t broken. It’s the health education system that’s broken.

They’ve overlooked these root causes to weight loss resistance (and countless other health challenges) for far too long. And it’s time to end the gaslighting.

It’s time for ROOT CAUSE solutions.

You’ve been stuck on this weight loss roller coaster or in this weight loss purgatory for far too long. Weight loss issues, along with the brain fog, fatigue, and bloating that tend to come along with it do not have to be your fat.

So what’s next?

Start with my Free, On-Demand 3 Day Drainage Clinic where you can equip yourself with the tools and resources to learn how to open your drainage pathways to officially prepare your body for further detox in the future. This is a HUGE first step that so many people miss, and it keeps them sick. (This program is FREE for a limited time!) Get Exclusive Access!

No matter what path you may be leaning towards at this time, I pray that you take action NOW. You deserve to get to the bottom of weight loss resistance and any other health challenges that are influencing your quality of life, your confidence, and your joy. And I’m blessed to be able to be part of your healing journey in whatever way that may be.

These are all potential symptoms of candida/fungal overgrowth. It’s actually an incredibly common issue that I see in many of my clients due to the overwhelming amount of toxicity that we have in today’s world! And we absolutely have simple steps that we can take over time to address it at a root cause level.

The problem is that…

When you see a “conventional medicine” trained practitioner, whether it be your family doctor or nurse practitioner, OB-GYN, podiatrist, etc for candida/fungal issues, they will typically go with some type of anti-fungal medication like nystatin or fluconazole, maybe some Monistat if it’s a vaginal yeast infection, some type of topical anti-fungal cream if its a fungal infection on the foot or elsewhere on the skin.

And it’s not that these things DON’T address the fungal overgrowth, but they’re not getting the root of the issue. They’re not address the other factors that create the perfect environment for the candida to be able to overgrow.

For too many years I too relied on a never-ending cycle of nystatin, fluconazole, etc, to manage my recurring Candida and yeast infections. My Integrative MD had me leverage those products, in addition to countless antifungal herbs to address the never-ending candida overgrowth cycle.

I couldn’t understand why it kept coming back. But my functional MD was there to write a script anytime I needed it. I’d be much more cognizant of my sugar🍪 intake as well until symptoms resolve it, and then when everything appeared to be back to normal, I figured I was in the clear, only to have it become an issue in another few months.

I, like so many others, was stuck in this cycle because I never addressed the other variables.

❌Environmental toxins

❌Parasites

❌Mold

❌Heavy metals

❌Birth control usage

❌Antidepressant usage

❌Adderall usage

❌Poor nervous system regulation

They were all at the root of this never ending cycle. I may have been addressing the candida, but the rest of the terrain in my body still remained ideal for candida overgrowth.

Let’s unpack some of these root cause variables so you can better understand how they can be correlated!

🔺Poor Nervous System Regulation & Stress: Both keep the ileocecal valve open, connecting the small and large intestines, contributing to issues like SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth) and gut dysbiosis (imbalanced gut microbiome). Stress and nervous system dysregulation also contribute to gut permeability, inflammation, and often lead to impaired digestion and/or slowed bowel motility that have a downstream affect for candida overgrowth.

🔺Environmental toxins: Toxins like the commonly used pesticide/herbicide, Glyphosate (aka Round Up), affects the lymphatics of the gut and contributes to inflammatory bowel diseases like colitis and as well as other inflammatory gut conditions like Leaky Gut and Irritable Bowel Syndrome. An inflamed gut creates perfect conditions for fungal overgrowth. Additionally, Glyphosate disrupts the microbial balance of the gut, allowing for fungal overgrowth.

🔺Parasites: Not only do many of them send chemical messengers, slowing bowel motility, causing a downstream effect on bacterial/fungal overgrowth. But they also are sponges for other toxins and pathogens that they harbor and release over time, contributing to a toxic environment that encourages fungal overgrowth

Mold & Heavy Metals: Both of these families of toxins can cause gut permeability, suppress immune system function, be used to create biofilms in the gut to help protect other pathogens who want to take up host in the GI tract, and of course, create the perfect environment for Candida and SIBO!

So now the question is, “What are some of our options we can leverage to address these root causes and break the cycle?”

If you are solely committed to self-navigating the process of addressing candida overgrowth (while also supporting the appropriate drainage pathways and simultaneously addressing some coinciding root causes), CellCore’s Stomach Support Kit Protocol would probably be my go-to product.

This protocol is a carefully curated 3-month protocol designed to help you open up your drainage pathways to prepare your body for deeper detox and clean up, strategically support specific drainage pathways ongoingly that tend to play the biggest role in fungal overgrowth issues, and move you through the use of proprietary herbal blends, bioactive carbon binders, and probiotics that are specifically geared toward addressing candida and other fungal overgrowth, mold, heavy metals, parasites, and environmental toxins at the mitochondrial level to give you a powerful, comprehensive approach to breaking the candida cycle.

If you don’t already have a CellCore customer account with me, please create one using Patient Direct Code BX35QNDP.

To YOUR Healing,

Allyssa LaScala, IHP

P.S. If you’re dealing with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), Crohn’s disease, colitis, ulcerative colitis, acid reflux, GERD, SIBO, SIFO, leaky gut, or other gut diagnoses, keep these variables in mind. The same root causes are at the core of these gut issues!

P.S.S. If you continue to have reoccurring infections, whether it be candida, other gut issues, or even other infections like Lyme Disease or Epstein Barr Virus (EBV), you HAVE to start looking at these other root cause variables like mold, metals, parasites, environmental toxins, nervous system dysregulation, medications, unaddressed dental infections, etc

The post Bloating, Brain Fog, Sugar-Cravings, or Chronic Yeast Infections?
